In this project, I was asked to produce a video for the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science (in Dutch abbreviated as EWI: Elektrotechniek, Wiskunde en Informatica) of the University of Twente. The video had the purpose of giving a short introduction to the systems of the university, such as Osiris and Blackboard, both necessary tools for student at the university. Additionally, we decided to add a section about the different locations of the campus. Since the University of Twente is a rather big place. The video contains original music, illustrations and script, all done by the author of this portfolio. The project enjoyed of the direct supervision of Dr. Jan Schut and Lilian Spijker.

The video contains a basic tutorial for Dutch and International students on how to register for an exam or a course through Osiris, basic rules regarding re-examinations, the use of Blackboard, and places of interest within the campus of the University of Twente.

Some illustrations of other authors were used in the production of this video. All of them were either authorized by the author of the illustration, are of public domain or are under a creative commons license. You may find the complete list of external works used in this video in the following collapsable list.

This project was inspired by the work of C.G.P.Grey, Henry Reich (Minute Physics) and John & Hank Green. The acronym DFTBA (“Don’t forget to be awesome”)

coined by both John & Hank Green is featured at the end of the video.
